Shot Reactions & Other Issues

A huge advantage of running a quick shot low cost shot clinic on a Saturday is not having to manage shot reactions. This is because your shot show has been broken down and loaded in the back of the truck by the time a dog has a reaction. It’s hard to track a mobile veterinarian when they’re not even driving back to a central office. Shot reactions are very rare and it’s probable that your shot show has the customer sign a waiver of liability in the event of an anaphylactic / delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction.

If your shot show has an 800 number and a mail-drop address you’re almost entirely insulated from problems in the aftermath of your shot show. You’re paid, often in cash, and they’ve got the paper in their hands. If a pet develops an abscess or shot reaction, or worse, an auto-immune aggravation, it’s passed off to the regular veterinarian.
